Telephone Calls

Your call is important to us.  We will make every attempt to handle your needs as timely as possible.  Our office and nursing staff is trained to assist you with many of your requests and questions.  In an effort to allow for an uninterrupted flow of patient care many phone calls may be returned after office hours.

Evenings and Weekends are handled by the physician on call. The answering service can be reached at 504-383-5330, or by calling the office.  Please limit after hour and weekend calls to emergencies only.

Medications Refills

Please call your pharmacy for medication refills a minimum of 3 days before you will be out of your medication and as early in the day as possible to allow our staff time to review your records and obtain approval from the doctor.  In many cases a call to our office is not necessary to take care of your request.

If additional refills are necessary to complete your request your pharmacy will contact our office by phone, fax, or computer. Please note that if your insurance requires additional information in order to fill the requested medication this will cause a delay in getting your medication.  We will make every effort to handle these requests as timely as possible with your insurance company.

Narcotic medications will not be refilled on the weekends by the physician on call.
